Caring for children is the core purpose of Blessing the Children’s work in Ethiopia.  The country is full of poor and needy children, but even amidst them there are varying degrees of poverty.  When a child looses their parents becoming orphaned, there is no government program to help that child in any way.  No welfare or foster care, no assistance or food stamps.  The child is left alone to beg for food and has very little hope for a future.  They are the poorest of the poor.
